Current Position:

Currently I am teaching Algebra 1, Algebra 2, A/P Calculus, and Physics.  I started as a long-term substitute teacher in April 2008 at Cedar Ridge and liked it so much that I decided to get my teaching degree and start teaching there.  This is now my 8th year at Cedar Ridge and Cedar Ridge is the only school that I have been employed for.  

Previous Position:

I've worked since I was 15 at a variety of locations.  From fast food, to at my college, to a gym (where I met my husband), to the county health department.  This is the one job where I felt that not only could I use my mathematical problem-solving talent, but also my ability to teach in an understandable way.  

Family Information:

I got married in 2005 to Jason Light.  He already had a daughter named Jenell and we finally had a baby in 2014 named Felicity.  Felicity goes to Cord Charlotte Preschool and enjoys watching our two dogs Lucy and Maya.
