Physical fitness signifies the body’s ability to work efficiently and effectively during school hours and at leisure time. A physically fit person is someone who will remain healthy and lead an active lifestyle. Also, being physically fit allows a person to safeguard his/her body against diseases, and live a longer healthier life. A focus on fitness in physical education should be directed at developing lifetime physical activity habits. We will provide a concept based fitness approach to physical education that will provide students the opportunity to develop healthy habits and gain value and appreciation of the importance of healthy habits throughout life.
Students will develop the skills necessary to measure their own fitness and physical activity. Students will also maintain regular participation in physical activity and analyze their level of involvement in physical activity.
